We currently cut timber for several harvester teams. We fell trees in difficult areas, that are inaccessible for the harvester machines.

Our work involves everything from brashing, windblow limb removal to felling of oversize and difficult trees.
Timber can be cut to the forwarder's length requirements.

TIMBER CONTRACTING - SKIDDING WORK
This is a vital part of forestry work. We fell the timber and skid it to a cross cutting bay for the hand cutters. We fell and skid the timber for the harvesters to convert the tree lengths into appropriate sizes.
Using the Skidder is much kinder to the environment, as the ground impact damage is very low, compared with using larger, heavier machinery.
We also have Quads, with front or rear mounted winches, for timber extraction in environmentally sensitive areas.
We have two Skidders with Igland winches. The larger has a single drum 5.5 ton winch and the smaller a double drum 4 ton winch.

TIMBER CONTRACTING - SECONDARY EXTRACTION
We offer a secondary extraction service for the harvester teams that allows the forwarders to bring the timber to a primary stacking bay.
The timber is loaded on our Botex Trailer and taken to the loading bay to be stacked on the timber lorries
